Weaving at the Thresholds of Living and Dying

We don’t need to be spiritual or religious to recognize our life is nothing short of a miracle.

Our existence alone is a sacred and precious gift and it is enough. But, the pressure, stressors and struggles of our daily lives clouds our ability to remember and embody this truth. Despite the demands of capitalism and the layers of wounding from our childhood and systemic oppression, we are resilient, creative, wise, powerful, loving beings with the potential to feel the deepest joy and empowerment in our lives. This is possible even up until our last breath.

How can death teach us about how to live more fully?

We live in a secular world surrounded by technology, and which centers thinking and productivity. We have removed ceremonies from our lives and become fractured versions of our cultures. When we revitalize the practices of our ancestors, there is a vitality and healing that occurs.

My name is Ore Ganin-Pinto, and I am an interfaith palliative and hospice chaplain and spiritual care counselor. I am a musical prayer and song leader, and somatic movement educator. I have sat at the bedside of patients as they took their last breath and I have journeyed with people as they move through their fears, wonders and found peace and surrender in their most challenging decisions. I have supported people through rites of passage from weddings, memorials to b’nai mitzvahs. And, I have facilitated and guided 1-1 and group coaching sessions for decades. Whatever your path of understanding whether through science or spirituality, there is room for you here here as we weave the threads of our interconnectivity.
